چکیده

We show how to construct consistent truncations of 10-/11-dimensional supergravity 3-dimensional gauged supergravity, preserving various amounts supersymmetry. show, that as in higher dimensions, can be defined terms generalised $G$-structures Exceptional Field Theory, with $G \subset E_{8(8)}$ for the case. Differently from Lie derivative $E_{8(8)}$ Theory requires a set "covariantly constrained" fields well-defined, and we these constructed $G$-structure itself. prove several general features truncations, allowing us rule out higher-dimensional origin many supergravities. In particular, compact part gauge group at most $\mathrm{SO}(9)$ there are no on 7-or 8-dimensional product spheres such full isometry is gauged. Moreover, classify which matter-coupled ${\cal N} \geq 4$ supergravities arise truncations. Finally, give examples three dimensions. These include IIA IIB $S^7$ leading two different N}=16$ supergravites, well more IIA/IIB $H^{p,7-p}$. also compactifications $S^5$ fibred over Riemann surface. result N}=4$ scalar manifold M} = \frac{\mathrm{SO}(6,4)}{\mathrm{SO}(6) \times \mathrm{SO}(4)} \frac{\mathrm{SU}(2,1)}{\mathrm{S}(\mathrm{U}(2)\times\mathrm{U}(1))}$ $\mathrm{ISO}(3)\times\mathrm{U}(1)^4$ gauging hyperboloidal surfaces contain N}=(2,2)$ AdS$_3$ vacua.

Consistent Superalgebraic Truncations from D=5, N=5 Supergravity

We study a novel five-dimensional, N=5 supergravity in the context of Lie superalgebra SU(5/2). The possible successive superalgebraic truncations from N=5 theory to the lower supersymmetric N=4,3,2, and 1 supergravity theories are systematically analyzed as a sub-superalgebraic chain of SU(5/2)⊃ SU(4/2) ⊃ SU(3/2) ⊃ SU(2/2) ⊃ SU(1/2) by using the Kac-Dynkin weight techniques. Consistent dimensional reduction of five-dimensional off-shell supergravity

There are some points to notice in the dimensional reduction of the offshell supergravity. We discuss a consistent way of the dimensional reduction of five-dimensional off-shell supergravity compactified on S/Z2. There are two approaches to the four-dimensional effective action, which are complementary to each other. Their essential difference is the treatment of the compensator and the radion ...

Supergravity Models for 3 + 1 Dimensional QCD

The most general black M5-brane solution of eleven-dimensional supergravity (with a flat R spacetime in the brane and a regular horizon) is characterized by charge, mass and two angular momenta. We use this metric to construct general dual models of large-N QCD (at strong coupling) that depend on two free parameters. The mass spectrum of scalar particles is determined analytically (in the WKB a...

On consistent truncations in N = 2∗ holography

Although Pilch-Warner (PW) gravitational renormalization group flow [1] passes a number of important consistency checks to be identified as a holographic dual to a largeN SU(N) N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory, it fails to reproduce the free energy of the theory on S, computed with the localization techniques. This disagreement points to the existence of a larger dual gravitational consistent ...

Superalgebraic Truncations from D=10, N=2 Chiral Supergravity

We study ten-dimensional N=2 maximal chiral supergravity in the context of Lie superalgebra SU(8/1). The possible successive superalgebraic truncations from ten dimensional N=2 chiral theory to the lower dimensional supergravity theories are systematically realized as sub-superalgebraic chains of SU(8/1) by using the Kac-Dynkin weight techniques.
